Prices shown include
Hire of your chosen vehicle, including unlimited mileage and VAT, Third Party insurance, Theft Insurance and CDW [Collision Damage Waiver].  N.B. For rentals which extend through more than 1 price period the rate is determined by the price of the period in which it begins.

P.A.I. INSURANCE
Personal Accident Insurance [P.A.I.] is an optional Insurance. If you have holiday  insurance this cover mayl be included - or you may purchase P.A.I. when collecting the vehicle.

Credit card required.

A valid credit card will be required at the start of your rental. Payment for booking in the UK may be made by Debit card or Credit Card. At time of collecting a car in Ireland you will be required to present a Credit card. UK Debit cards are not normally valid in Ireland.

One-way rentals and cross-border ( Ireland / UK )rentals
The cars are normally returned to the point at which the car was collected. Cars may be returned to other approved locations with prior consent of the car hire company and on the payment of a charge (usually 25-40 Euros). The one way rental fee applies to all one way rentals within the Repbublic of Ireland, except for rentals of 3 days or more between Dublin, Cork and Shannon  where there is no drop off fee. Cars collected in the Republic of Ireland and dropped off, with prior approval, in Northern Ireland incur a charge of 120 Euros. Cars collected in Northern Ireland and dropped off, with prior approval, in the Republic of Ireland incur a charge of UK £120. These charges are payable locally. International one way rentals are only allowed to Belfast.

Vehicles at Belfast Airports
If you collect the car at Belfast airports you are only covered to drive the car within Northern Ireland. If you wish to take the car to the Republic of Ireland you must declare this on collection of the car and a supplement will be charged to you, for extra insurance which you must pay locally.

Damage Excess
Republic of Ireland -  900 Euros (Groups 1- 8), 1,500 Euros (Groups 7-12)
Northern Ireland   -  UK £600 (Groups 1-6),     UK £750 (Groups 7-12)
The insurance cover does not apply to any damage up to these values shown above, of any claim. These are called an EXCESS. The hirer is responsible for the excess and it must be paid direct to the car rental company in the event of damage being caused to the car , unless you have taken out Excess Waiver. The purchase of Excess Waiver reduces the excess to zero, but excludes tyres. The cost of EXCESS WAIVER is as follows:

Excess waiver insurance is optional, but you will be asked if it is required and you must indicate yes or no.  The purchase of Excess Waiver reduces the Damage excess to zero, excluding tyres. The purchase of Excess Waiver with Claddah Travel / Budget Car Hire DOES INCLUDE COVER for the windscreen, windows, the roof, the underside, the interior of the car, towing charges, and the car wheels, but does NOT cover tyres. For all rentals, you will be required to produce a Credit Card at the start of rental. If you do not accept Excess Waiver, you may be asked to leave a deposit to cover the amount of the excess.

Petrol
Each vehicle is  supplied with a full tank of petrol at commencement of hire, the cost of which must be paid directly to the hire company's representative. This is refundable if you return the vehicle with a full tank of petrol. Claddah cannot accept any responsibility for such refunds. They are your responsibility and you must obtain them at the time and on the spot from the office to which you return your rental vehicle.

Roof Racks
These are not available

Child Seats
There is a charge of 40 Euros (Republic of Ireland) or UK £25 (Northern Ireland) per seat to be paid at the time of collecting the vehicle. You must request the child seats at the time of making your reservation.

Extra Drivers
These are allowed, but must be declared at the start of the rental period, and the following charges will be levied: 7 Euros per day (Republic of Ireland) or approx. £7.50 per day (Northern Ireland), to be paid at the time of collecting the vehicle.

Makes/Models of vehicle
No guarantee can be given to make available a particular make/model of vehicle. A guarantee is given to provide a similar type of vehicle to that described in the categories stated.

Vehicle suitability ( COMPLAINTS )
If you are not satisfied in any way, at any time during the rental, with the standard of the vehicle , you have a duty to report it immediately to the hire company. Contact details for the car hire company are shown on the rental agreement.   Keep details of the person spoken to and of what action was taken. Unresolved disputes will be investigated by Claddah Travel, on condition that you contact us in writing as soon as possible after your return but not later than 28 days from the completion of your holiday, and setting out full details of your complaint.  We cannot accept responsibility in respect of claims  received outside this period.

Repairs to the vehicle
In the rare event of any mechanical difficulties it is your duty to  report these immediately to the hire company whose contact number is shown on your hire agreement. Prior authority to obtain repairs, spare parts or replacement vehicle must be obtained from the hire company. The hirer must arrange for regular check of air and water leve and tyre pressure. The car must never be left unlocked.  The car must be parked in accordance with local parking regulations .  Any charges for garageing, petrol, parking charges and traffic fees are the responsibility of the hirer.

Cancellation & Administration Charges

If you wish to cancel a car hire reservation, please contact Claddah Travel immediately. Cancellation notified to Claddah Travel before rental is due to commence - £20 charge.  Cancellation not notified to Claddah Travel before the rental os due to commence - Full rental charges apply, and no refund is due. No refunds are due if you return the car early.

Claddah Travel and the Hire company
Claddah Travel does not own the vehicles but acts only as agent for the hire company in booking the vehicle hire. The hire company will require you to sign a contract and you will be subject to its terms and conditions.
The hire company reserves the right to refuse a rental at any time. In these instances the decision of the hire company shall be final and  Claddah's liability shall be limited to a refund of any money paid to Claddah Travel less an administration charge of £20.
