The Mizen Head and Sheep’s Head peninsula are renowned for their stunning coastal scenery, punctuated by little coves and rocky promontories, and dotted with farmhouses nestled in the natural valleys. The picturesque little village of Durrus, is the gateway to this area and Sruth Mhuilleann (Mill Stream) Holiday village enjoys a quiet, peaceful setting in the village, in thoughtfully landscaped grounds, with the little stream running through. These beautifully presented properties have been partially clad in natural stone, and provide spacious accommodation for our visitors.
West Cork is well known for its unspoilt, unpredictable landscape, wonderful coves and beaches and is dotted with coastal villages, such as Ballydehob, the sailing village of Schull and the market town of Skibereen. In recent times, this area has become home to the ‘slow food’ movement, and boasts many fine restaurants and organic markets, much of which is produced locally. So food lovers will be spoilt for choice! In Durrus itself there is a wonderful restaurant and cookery school, fine pubs serving food and shops. Bantry town is minutes away by car, where you will find everything you need, along with its multi screen cinema, leisure centre, Bantry House and Gardens and an 18 hole championship golf course.
From Schull or Baltimore, you can take a boat for the islands. Visit Sherkin, which has 3 sandy beaches and where you can rent bikes for the day, or the equally beautiful Cape Clear In West Cork, there are sailing regattas, and diving, sailboarding and deep sea fishing are all easy to organize. The magnificent beach of Barley Cove at Goleen is nearby and the lively sailing town of Crookhaven. Walkers will love the many unfrequented trails and walks from the door of their holiday home at Sruth Mhuilleann.

BOOKING CONDITIONS.
Booking this holiday is subject to conditions in accordance with the Tour Operators Code of conduct of ABTA. Acceptance and Confirmation of your booking is subject to the following conditions:
AUTHORITY: in booking this holiday you guarantee that you have the authority to accept and do accept on behalf of the other people in your party the terms and conditions. You accept responsibility for all payments, amendment fees and cancellation charges on behalf of each member of your party.
BALANCES: All monies are due at the time of booking.
CHANGES: Changes are allowed, subject to availability but must be notifiied in writing by the person who made the booking. Administration charges will apply, and the amount of charges will be advised to you before you make any change. Changes within 6 weeks of departure will be treated as a cancellation of the original booking and will be subject to cancellation charges.
CANCELLATION: These must be confirmed in writing and are subject to a scale of cancellation charges as follows:
Up to 42 days before arrival : £150 per home. .
6-2 weeks before date of arrival - 50% of rental
Less than 2 weeks before arrival date - 100%
Cancellation charges are calculated from the date that written confirmation is received.
UTILITY CHARGES: Heat and electricity are extra charges and are normally based on set daily rates depending upon the time of year.Some are payable in advance at time of booking. At some locations they are based on a meter reading done on site and payable before departure from site. .
SECURITY DEPOSIT: A refundable security deposit of €150 must be paid on arrival. The property ownea ror letting agenta reserve the right to charge an increased security deposit at certain times of the year or certain types of bookings which will be notified to you prior to arrival. The deposit will be refunded within 7 days of departure once the supervisor is satisfied that the terms and conditions of rental have been compiled with. Failure to leave the accommodation in a clean and tidy condition may result in the loss of all or part of the security deposit. When a rental is for longer than one week, cleaning of the house during rental must be requested from the on-site manager and a fee may apply.
For Group Bookings ( 2 houses or more) - a EUR250 refundable security deposit per house booked has to be paid prior to arrival to our central reservation office . This will be refunded within 7 days of departure by our central reservation office once the local Supervisor has confirmed to us that the houses booked were left in an acceptable condition.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES: Specific arrival and departure times are outlined on the direction sheet. These times must be strictly adhered to. LATE ARRIVALS : Failure to notify the on-site manager of a late arrival may result in your reservation being cancelled.
PETS: Pets are only allowed at certain properties
ACCOMMODATION CAPACITY: For Insurance reasons, the total number of clients staying in each holiday home must not exceed the maximum capacity.
BED LINEN AND TOWELS : Bed linen is supplied free of charge in all of our properties. Towels may be subject to a rental charge if required. When a holiday Home is being rented for more than one week, you may liaise directly with the site manager if fresh bed linen/towels are required. A nominal fee may be required with for these extra services.
SPECIAL REQUESTS; Requests for specific houses, cots, highchairs etc. must be made at time of reservation and whilst we will endeavor to meet all special requests, they cannot be guaranteed.
DISABLED PERSON : It shall be the consumer’s responsibility to disclose, prior to booking, to Claddah Travel, any physical or mental condition of a member of his party which may be relevant. The property owners or letting agents reserve the right to decline or provide a holiday for a disabled person where in our mind, the holiday home would be inconsistent with the special needs of a disabled person.
GROUPS OR PARTIES UNDER THE AGE OF 25 YEARS: The property owners or letting agents do not accept bookings from groups or parties under the age of 25 years, unless otherwise agreed in writing. The property owners or letting gents reserve the right to refuse to check-in such groups and will not refund any monies paid in advance in the event of non-disclosure of the age of the occupants.
COMPLAINTS: In the unlikely event of a compliant, it should be brought to the attention of the site-manager immediately. Failing a satisfactory solution, you should contact Claddah Travel, in writing within 28 days of completion of your holiday.
DEFAULT BY THE CUSTOMER : The consumer is obliged to ensure that all documentation and details issued to you by Claddah are correct. In an unlikely event that you do not agree with the documentation, it must be brought to our attention immediately.

RIGHT TO DECLINE : The property owners or letting agents reserve the right to refuse, alter or cancel a booking, even after receipt of final payment. In addition, the company is relived of all liability should reserved accommodation not be available due to circumstances beyond our control. In such an instance, alternative arrangements will be made in similar accommodation, or a full refund will be offered. However, no refund or liability will apply to a situation where a client is requested to vacate, or leaves of their own accord, prior to the expiration of the booking.
BEHAVIOUR: The property owners or letting agents reserve the right to terminate this contract if the behaviour or conduct of the Consumer either prior to or during a holiday is likely to endanger the safety or well being of other consumers in the party or that of the consumer himself.
LIABILITY: The Property owners or letting agents, Trident holiday Homes or Claddah Travel ,their employees or agents shall not be liable for any damages, loss, or personal injury which may be sustained by persons or property at any time during the reserved stay.
HOLIDAY INSURANCE: This is not included in the holiday cost. You are strongly recommended to arrange to take out cover for cancellation, luggage, medical expenses, personal liability. You would not be covered if at the time of booking you were aware of any circumstance that might lead to a cancellation of the booking. Insurance matters are between you and the insurance company/broker.
